Height, in 18.00
Depth, in 1.25

This one's a nod to one of my other hometowns, Lawrence, Kansas. I wanted to paint the most Lawrence painting of all time, but the ghost of John Brown didn't really kill Bill Quantrill. This is Abe Burns and Jake Washington noodling a flathead catfish beneath the Rock Island bridge. Abe and Jake have some tall tales attached. Legend says Abe and/or Jake drowned fighting this fish, they were found downstream locked in a deathy embrace. Abe was a bootlegger when he wasn't just being awesome. He died in Hollywood. Jake didn't die aquatic either, he grew old and died fighting Quantrill's ghost.
